Textile Madeups Using Dyed Fabrics Eligible for DEPB Rates Under S. No. 69 & 72 from April 1997 Onwards.
The circular addresses the denial of DEPB benefits for textile products listed under S. No. 69 and 72, specifically for madeups using yarn dyed fabric. After consulting with the Ministry of Textiles and the Department of Revenue, it is clarified that fabrics processed through methods like bleaching, dyeing, or printing are considered processed fabrics. Madeups from such fabrics are eligible for DEPB rates as per S. No. 69 and 72 for exports from April 1, 1997, onwards. This decision is approved by the Directorate General of Foreign Trade.
