Developers granted such relaxation must maintain contiguity through dedicated security measures like gates or overpasses, and fencing. No tax benefits are provided for these measures. The processing area must be on one side of the National Highway, and formal approvals from relevant authorities are required before starting work. Additionally, no Letter of Approval for SEZ units will be issued until all contiguity measures are completed, and movement between SEZs is restricted until then.
