ICES v1.5 CFS and Gate modules mandate bonds, IGM codes, PLA funding, and electronic movement approvals for import containers
Implementation of CFS and Gate modules under ICES v1.5 for Kolkata (Port) standardizes electronic processing of import container movements from terminals to CFSs. Shipping lines/MLOs and CFSs must register continuity bonds (CO by MLOs; TR by CFSs), include bond and CFS codes in the IGM, and fund PLA accounts for fees. Entry/Inward triggers system debits, generation of a Movement No and Cargo Movement Approval Order, and Gate-module authorizations (truck/seal tracking) at terminal and CFS gates; TR bonds are re-credited on CFS receipt. CO re-crediting follows verification by the Container Cell. Effective 15-02-2018; phased rollout to other ports.
