of <h1>Export ban on non-basmati white rice; 20% duty on parboiled rice (CTH 1006.30.10); dock sampling and lab test before LEO</h1> Export policy amended: export of non-basmati white rice is prohibited and a 20% export duty has been imposed on parboiled rice (CTH 1006.30.10). To prevent misclassification, consignments suspected as parboiled rice must be sampled at docks/warehouses, declared as live consignments, and immediately sent to the designated testing laboratory. Customs will grant final export clearance (LEO) only after a confirmatory test report verifies the product as parboiled rice; in view of this requirement, bonds from exporters are not required for such consignments.
