When designated users change, successors often lack knowledge of user IDs, registered emails, and system operations, mistaking operational issues for technical problems. Directors General of Income Tax (Investigation) must ensure FINnet details for both nodes/accounts are included in handover notes when new users are nominated. Predecessors should train incoming users on FINnet operations. User nomination changes must be reported to the Central Board of Direct Taxes per standard operating procedure, and training needs can be arranged with the Financial Intelligence Unit.
