The e-COO, issued by Japan's authorized authority, is valid for claiming preferential benefits if it meets the prescribed format and requirements. Verification of the e-COO's authenticity can be done via Japan's CO Reference System. Importers or Customs Brokers must upload the e-COO on e-Sanchit and present a printed copy for defacement. The circular requests implementation of this procedure in relevant customs formations.
