of <h1>Customs Offences Data Entry Deadline Extended to July 31, 2018; Immediate Updates Required in DIGIT System.</h1> The Central Board of Excise & Customs has issued instructions for the completion of data entry in the DIGIT system, emphasizing its importance as the sole database for Customs offences. All formations must complete data entry by 31st July 2018, extended from the previous deadline of 31st March 2018. From 1st April 2018, all Show Cause Notices and adjudication orders must be uploaded to DIGIT promptly. Delays in issuing notices or updating the database will be taken seriously. The Directorate of Revenue Intelligence will monitor compliance, and any lapses will be scrutinized.
