of <h1>SEBI mandates PFMIs for AMC Repo Clearing Limited to enhance investor protection in debt securities repo transactions.</h1> The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) has issued a circular mandating the applicability of the Principles of Financial Market Infrastructures (PFMIs) to AMC Repo Clearing Limited. This follows the recognition of AMC Repo Clearing Limited as a Clearing Corporation for repo transactions in debt securities, as per the Securities Contracts (Regulation) (Stock Exchanges and Clearing Corporations) (Amendment) Regulations, 2020. The circular, effective immediately, aims to protect investor interests and regulate the securities market under the authority of the SEBI Act, 1992.
