GST Council Meeting Reviews Revenue, Amends Anti-Profiteering Rules, and Extends Reverse Charge Suspension.
The 26th GST Council Meeting, chaired by the Union Finance Minister on March 10, 2018, addressed key issues including confirmation of previous meeting minutes, deemed ratification of government notifications, revenue review for January and February 2018, and amendments to Anti-Profiteering Rules. The Council also discussed extending the suspension of the reverse charge mechanism, the introduction of the e-Way Bill system, and the postponement of the e-Wallet scheme for exports. The Council deferred some agenda items for future meetings and agreed to constitute a Group of Ministers to study reverse charge mechanism issues.
