Clarification on Dynamic QR Code Requirements for B2C Invoices for High Turnover Taxpayers; Penalty Waiver Details Included.
The circular clarifies the applicability of Dynamic QR Codes on B2C invoices as mandated by the notification issued on May 15, 2020, for taxpayers with a turnover exceeding 500 crore rupees. Penalties for non-compliance from December 1, 2020, to June 30, 2021, are waived if compliance begins by July 1, 2021. Key clarifications include: invoices to UIN holders require QR codes; UPI ID suffices without additional bank details; authorized collectors' UPI IDs can be used; invoices for foreign recipients need no QR codes; order IDs can replace invoice numbers for retail transactions; and QR codes should reflect the remaining payable amount after part-payments.
