Key amendments include allowing job work for importers without complete manufacturing facilities, permitting 100% outsourcing except in sensitive sectors, and enabling import and clearance of capital goods at concessional rates. Importers must follow specified procedures, including prior intimation and maintaining detailed records. Non-compliance may result in penalties. The Directorate General of Systems is automating compliance submissions, and trade notices will guide the industry on these changes.
