of <h1>Central Board of Direct Taxes Reconstitutes National e-Assessment Centre Under Faceless Assessment Scheme 2019</h1> The Central Board of Direct Taxes reconstitutes the National e-Assessment Centre (NeAC) under the Faceless Assessment Scheme, 2019, with headquarters in Delhi. The NeAC will comprise specified Income-tax Authorities, including Principal Chief Commissioners, Commissioners, Additional/Joint Commissioners, Deputy/Assistant Commissioners, and Income-tax Officers, all based in Delhi. The NeAC will also have ministerial, executive, or consultant staff as deemed necessary. Principal Commissioners of Income-tax (ReAC) (Technical Unit) will be subordinate to the Principal Chief Commissioner of NeAC for administrative purposes but will be stationed in Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, and Kolkata. This reconstitution supersedes the earlier order dated September 2019 and takes effect from August 13, 2020, with the approval of the Chairman of the Central Board of Direct Taxes.
