of <h1>COVID-19: Electronic Submission for IN-Bonding of Cargo Simplified; Replace Electronic Undertaking with Bond by May 7, 2020.</h1> Due to COVID-19 lockdown, the procedure for IN-Bonding of cargo imported under the Warehouse Bill of Entry has been relaxed. Importers and Custom Brokers can now submit requests and necessary documents electronically, including a request letter, Space Certificate, Warehouse Bill of Entry, IEC registration, and ID proof. Security requirements like Transit Insurance must also be provided online. The process will generate an Into-Bond Number, which will be communicated via email. Importers must replace the electronic undertaking with a proper bond by May 7, 2020. This notice modifies previous guidelines and requires dissemination among trade associations.
