of <h1>Trade Facilitation: Extended Deadline for Importers/Exporters to Submit Undertaking Instead of Bond Until May 15, 2020.</h1> The circular addresses the extension of measures under Circular No. 17/2020 to facilitate trade during the COVID-19 lockdown, allowing importers and exporters to submit an undertaking instead of a bond for customs clearance until May 15, 2020. The deadline for submitting the proper bond is extended to May 30, 2020. Undertakings must be submitted via registered email or through authorized Customs Brokers, with additional uploading on e-Sanchit required. All other conditions from the original circular remain unchanged. Any difficulties should be reported to the Joint Commissioner of Customs. The notice serves as a standing order for officers.
