of <h1>DGFT Updates MEIS Appendix 3B to Align with HS Codes for Mobile Phones, Effective January 1, 2020.</h1> The Director General of Foreign Trade has amended the Appendix 3B, Table 2 of the Merchandise Exports from India Scheme (MEIS) to align it with the Harmonized System (HS) Codes as per Notification no. 38 dated January 1, 2020, and Notification no. 43 dated January 29, 2020. These amendments apply to exports made from January 1, 2020, onward. Changes include updates to the ITC HS 2017 codes and descriptions for mobile phones, distinguishing between push button and other types. This amendment aims to ensure consistency in trade documentation and classification.
