of <h1>New Special Drawback Cell Formed to Clear Backlog of Claims; May & June 2012 Set for Clearance.</h1> A Special Drawback Cell has been established to address the backlog of drawback claims, with May and June 2012 designated as Drawback Clearance Months. This initiative follows directives from the Board, as communicated by the Special Secretary and Chairman of the CBEC, Ministry of Finance. A Senior Nodal Officer will lead the cell, with the Deputy Commissioner of the Drawback Section appointed as the Nodal Officer from the Customs side. The cell will coordinate with trade and export sections to expedite the processing and clearance of pending drawback claims.
