Effective from March 15, 2011, this system allows IPR holders to maintain a single Centralized Bond Account, facilitating the management of bonds and securities across all Indian ports. The module assigns a unique Bond Registration Number (BRN) for each account, which can be credited and debited at any Customs location. Existing right-holders can migrate to this system, which simplifies the process of handling allegedly infringing consignments.
