The waiver follows a verified application by the company, demonstrating compliance with the performance benchmarks set by the Central Board of Excise and Customs (CBEC). The ICD has been operational for two consecutive years, handling 12,629 and 16,770 containers in 2013 and 2014, respectively, surpassing the required benchmarks. Consequently, the company is exempted from these charges with prospective effect.
