The Central Board of Excise and Customs (CBEC) examined representations from the trade regarding this classification. It was determined that 100% biodiesel, also known as B100, is an oleochemical derived from vegetable oils or animal fats. This clarification aims to address any confusion among stakeholders regarding the classification of biodiesel under oleochemicals.
