Foreign Trade Policy Update: New Certificate Requirement for SEIS Benefits and Simplified Invoice Submission for Select Services.
The Director General of Foreign Trade has amended ANF 3B of the Handbook of Procedures under the Foreign Trade Policy 2015-2020. The amendment requires applicants claiming SEIS benefits for INR payments to submit a certificate from a Chartered Accountant, Cost and Works Accountant, or Company Secretary. Additionally, for specific service categories like Medical and Dental Services, Hospital Services, and Hotels and Restaurants, a consolidated statement of invoices and FIRCs/proofs of payment is now acceptable instead of invoice-wise matching. These changes aim to streamline the process for claiming SEIS benefits.
