of <h1>SEBI extends certification deadline for mutual fund distributors to September 30, 2003, under Regulation 77. AMFI to assist nationwide.</h1> SEBI has extended the deadline for intermediaries distributing mutual fund units to pass a certification exam and register with the Association of Mutual Funds in India (AMFI) to September 30, 2003, due to challenges faced by mutual funds and distributors. AMFI will conduct a special drive to facilitate this process nationwide. Mutual funds must update their Boards of AMCs and trustees on progress and submit detailed reports to SEBI as of March 31, 2003, and quarterly thereafter, in compliance with Regulation 77 of SEBI (Mutual Funds) Regulations, 1996.
