SEBI Updates Monthly Cumulative Report Format for Mutual Funds, Requires New Disclosures Per Regulation 77.
The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) has revised the format for the Monthly Cumulative Report (MCR) for mutual funds. The new format requires the inclusion of disclosures on average assets under management, the total number of investors in the schemes, and data on Fund of Funds schemes. Mutual funds registered with SEBI and the Association of Mutual Funds in India (AMFI) must submit MCRs in this revised format starting with the March 2004 report. These changes are in accordance with Regulation 77 of the SEBI (Mutual Funds) Regulations, 1996.
