of <h1>Customs Act Changes: No Late Fees for April 13-14, 2017 Entries Filed by April 17 Due to ICEGATE Issues.</h1> The circular addresses legislative changes in Sections 46 and 47 of the Customs Act, 1962, highlighting issues with the ICEGATE EDI system on April 15, 2016, which hindered timely filing of Bills of Entry. To facilitate trade, it was decided that no late presentation charges would apply for consignments with entry inward dates of April 13 or 14, 2017, if filed by April 17, 2017. However, no exemptions would be granted for filings after this date. Stakeholders are encouraged to report any difficulties to the relevant authorities. The notice is approved by the Principal Commissioner of Customs (Import).
