of <h1>Indian Customs EDI System Launches at Muldwarka Port for Seamless Import-Export Processing Starting June 30, 2017.</h1> The Indian Customs EDI System (ICES 1.5) for imports and exports will be launched at Muldwarka Port, effective June 30, 2017. This system allows electronic filing and processing of Bills of Entry and Shipping Bills in an automated environment. Importers, exporters, customs brokers, and other stakeholders must comply with various registration and documentation requirements, including IE-Code registration, customs broker registration, and the use of correct currency, unit, and country codes. The system facilitates remote filing through ICEGATE and includes provisions for duty assessment, examination, and clearance procedures. It also supports export promotion schemes and provides mechanisms for service tax refunds and drawback claims.
