Exporters Guide: Obtain Self Sealing Permission for Electronic Sealing of Containerized Cargo Under New RFID Procedure.
The circular outlines the procedure for exporters to obtain Self Sealing Permission (SSP) for electronic sealing of containerized cargo at factory or warehouse premises. Exporters with Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) status or those previously allowed factory/warehouse stuffing under Central Excise or Customs supervision are eligible for the new RFID e-Sealing procedure. They must register with the EDI Systems through the Customs Policy Section in Tuticorin and submit specific documents, including self-certified copies of relevant registrations and permissions. The SSP is valid for all Customs stations, but separate applications are required for each additional stuffing premise. The notice is effective until December 31, 2017.
