of <h1>Mandatory RFID E-Sealing for Full Container Loads by January 1, 2018, at All Ports and ICDs.</h1> The circular outlines the implementation of electronic sealing for containers by exporters under a self-sealing procedure. Initially, RFID e-seals became mandatory for certain exporters from November 2017, with further mandatory adoption set for December 15, 2017, at specified ports and inland container depots (ICDs). Full Container Load e-sealing would be mandatory from January 1, 2018, for all ports and ICDs. The Board addressed concerns about e-seal availability and clarified that exporters who have already adopted the new procedure may continue, while others may voluntarily transition if facilities are available. Customs officers are advised to familiarize themselves with the new system.
