of <h1>India Launches Online Rotation Number Generation for Vessels via ICEGATE Portal, Streamlining Shipping Processes.</h1> The Government of India has introduced an online facility for shipping lines and agents to generate 'Rotation Numbers' for vessels through the ICEGATE portal. Previously, this process required manual submission of applications at the Custom House. Now, registered users can access the 'Rotation Number Generation' option on ICEGATE, providing necessary vessel details such as Customs Location Code, IMO Code, and Expected Date of Arrival. The system generates the Rotation Number upon submission and authentication via OTP. Users can also check the status of the Rotation Number online. Any issues should be reported to the Deputy Commissioner of Customs (EDI).
