<h1>Kolkata Customs Designates New Appellate Authorities and CPIOs under RTI Act 2005; Appeals Process Updated.</h1> The circular from the Office of the Commissioner of Customs in Kolkata announces the designation of Additional, Joint, Deputy, and Assistant Commissioners, as well as Chief Accounts Officers, as Appellate Authorities and Central Public Information Officers (CPIOs) under the Right to Information Act, 2005. This follows the establishment orders dated February 21, 2017, February 27, 2017, and March 14, 2017, and modifies an earlier notice from January 20, 2017. Individuals dissatisfied with the CPIO's response can appeal to their respective Appellate Authority within the Commissionerate's jurisdiction. Concerns regarding the notice's implementation should be directed to the Commissioner.
