India Extends Rebate Scheme to Include Chapter 63 Made-Up Articles; Effective March 23, 2017; Certain Exclusions Apply.
The Government of India has extended the Rebate of State Levies (ROSL) scheme to include exports of made-up articles under Chapter 63 of the AIR Drawback schedule. This scheme, managed by the Ministry of Textiles and CBEC, provides rebates on state levies for eligible exports, effective from March 23, 2017. The scheme excludes certain tariff items and exports under the Advance Authorization Scheme. Exporters must declare eligibility at the item level on shipping bills, using specific scheme codes. The rebate amount is calculated based on FOB value and specified rates. Guidelines from a previous circular on garment exports apply similarly to this scheme.
