of <h1>Chennai Customs Jurisdiction Update: Air Cargo, Bonded Warehouses, and SEZ Aligned with CBEC; Effective January 31, 2017.</h1> The Public Notice No. 05/2017 issued by the Office of the Commissioner of Customs in Chennai amends the jurisdiction of the Chennai VII Air Cargo Commissionerate. This amendment relates to handling import and export operations through Chennai Airport and the associated Bonded Warehouses, as well as the Chennai Special Economic Zone, excluding the Chennai I (Airport) Commissionerate's jurisdiction. The changes take effect from January 31, 2017, and will remain in force until further orders. This amendment updates the previous Public Notice No. 1/2014, aligning with the Central Board of Excise and Customs notification.
