of <h1>Mandatory E-Sealing for Exporters Starts March 2018 for Specific Ports; Expands to All by April 2018.</h1> The circular addresses the implementation of electronic sealing for containers by exporters under a self-sealing procedure. Initially voluntary, the e-sealing procedure becomes mandatory from March 1, 2018, for specific ports and ICDs for exporters with self-sealing permissions and AEO status. From April 1, 2018, the requirement extends to all other ports and ICDs. Exporters with RFID e-seals can continue using the new procedure if reader facilities are available. Exporters under officer supervision may continue until e-sealing becomes mandatory. Stakeholders are encouraged to report any difficulties to the customs office.
