of <h1>Mandatory RFID E-Sealing for Export Containers at All Ports Effective January 2018; Initial Relaxation Due to Stock Issues.</h1> The circular outlines the implementation of electronic sealing for containers by exporters under a self-sealing procedure. Initially, the use of RFID e-seals was mandatory for certain exporters from November 2017, but due to insufficient stock, the requirement was relaxed until December 15, 2017. From this date, e-sealing became mandatory for specific ports and ICDs for exporters with self-sealing permissions. By January 1, 2018, the procedure was compulsory for all ports and ICDs. Exporters with RFID e-seals could continue using the new procedure voluntarily, and officers were encouraged to familiarize themselves with the new systems.
