<h1>SEBI Introduces Corporate Bond Reporting Platform for Increased Transparency; BSE to Manage, Effective January 1, 2007.</h1> The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) has announced the launch of a corporate bond reporting platform to enhance transparency and efficiency in the trading of corporate bonds. The Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) will maintain this platform, which will be operational from January 1, 2007. All trades in listed debt securities by banks, public sector undertakings, municipal corporations, and companies must be reported within 30 minutes of execution. The platform will provide real-time data to the public, but settlement remains the responsibility of the contracting parties. Stock exchanges must amend their regulations to comply with this initiative.
