of <h1>SEBI Expands ECS Refunds to 68 Centers for Public and Rights Issues in Consultation with RBI.</h1> The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) has extended the facility of refunds through Electronic Clearing Service (ECS) in public and rights issues to 68 centers, in consultation with the Reserve Bank of India (RBI). This expansion builds upon a previous circular from January 2006, which initially made ECS refunds available in 15 centers. Merchant bankers are advised to incorporate instructions for refunds through various modes in relevant documents. The circular is effective immediately and details the list of the 68 centers where this facility is now available.
