<h1>SEBI Raises Overseas Investment Limit for Mutual Funds to USD 7 Billion u/s 11(1) of SEBI Act.</h1> The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) has announced an increase in the aggregate ceiling for overseas investments by mutual funds to USD 7 billion. This decision was made in consultation with the Government of India and the Reserve Bank of India (RBI). All other conditions from the previous circular dated September 26, 2007, remain unchanged. These guidelines are issued under the authority of Section 11(1) of the SEBI Act, 1992, and Regulation 77 of the SEBI (Mutual Funds) Regulations, 1996.
