of <h1>Customs Group VII Abolished from May 8, 2018; New Digital Export Measures Introduced for Efficient Processing.</h1> The circular announces the abolition of Group VII in Customs Commissionerates, effective May 8, 2018. Bills of Entry filed before this date will remain in the former group, while new entries will be assigned to Groups 1 to 6 based on item classification and value. Additionally, the government has introduced digital measures for exports, including an e-payment facility for export duties via ICEGATE and mandatory bank account validation by PFMS for Drawback claims. This aims to ensure electronic processing of Drawback payments, similar to IGST refunds and RoSL. The notice is approved by the Commissioner of Customs (Import), Mumbai.
