<h1>DGFT Clarifies 24-Month Validity for Chapter 3 Duty Credit Scrips Issued After Jan 1, 2016; No Revalidation Allowed.</h1> The validity period for Chapter 3 Duty Credit Scrips has been clarified by the Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT). As per Public Notice No. 33/2015-2020, scrips issued on or after January 1, 2016, are valid for 24 months from the issue date and must be valid when the duty is debited. Revalidation is not allowed unless specified under certain conditions. This applies to all scrips under Chapter 3, regardless of the Foreign Trade Policy period. Stakeholders are advised to utilize these provisions, and any difficulties should be reported to the Deputy/Assistant Commissioner in charge.
