New Protocol for Sampling DPD FCL Containers at Terminals: On-Wheel Sampling Available, Excludes Heterogeneous Commodities, Report Issues Promptly.
The public notice outlines the mechanism for drawing representative samples from Direct Port Delivery (DPD) Full Container Load (FCL) containers at terminals, involving sampling by Customs or Participating Government Agencies (PGAs). The 'on-wheel sampling' facility is available for DPD importers, allowing sampling by various agencies such as the Textile Committee, DYCC, Fertilizer Inspectors, and FSSAI authorities, provided necessary clearances are obtained within 48 hours. This facility excludes containers with heterogeneous commodities. Any issues should be reported to the Deputy/Assistant Commissioner in charge of the DPD Cell or relevant terminal personnel. This notice serves as a standing order for officers and staff.
