of <h1>Jawaharlal Nehru Custom House Boosts Efficiency for Direct Port Delivery Importers with Faster Bill of Entry Assessments.</h1> The Jawaharlal Nehru Custom House (JNCH) has implemented measures to prioritize the assessment of Bills of Entry for Direct Port Delivery (DPD) status holders to facilitate trade. Requests from DPD importers must be addressed immediately by the concerned Group AC/DC through various communication methods. If the assessment is not completed within six hours, the matter should be escalated to the ADC/JC and, if unresolved, to the Commissioner on the same day. A databank of such requests is to be maintained. These actions are approved by the Chief Commissioner of Customs, Mumbai Customs Zone II.
