Kandla Customs Mandates Paperless Processing for Appraising Group V Bills of Entry via e-SANCHIT Starting March 2018.
The Commissioner of Customs at Kandla has announced the mandatory implementation of paperless processing for bills of entry related to Appraising Group V (CT H 84 and 85) via the e-SANCHIT system starting March 1, 2018. This follows a pilot phase encouraging voluntary use. Importers, exporters, and customs brokers are urged to utilize this facility for faster import clearances. While some documents may still be required in hard copy for queries, all supporting documents must now be digitally uploaded. Any difficulties should be reported to the Commissioner.
