<h1>Customs Launches Help-Desks to Speed Up IGST Refunds for MSME Exporters, Reducing Need for Port Visits.</h1> The Customs department has established Help-Desks to expedite the refund process for Integrated Goods and Services Tax (IGST) on exported goods. This initiative addresses issues faced by micro, small, and medium enterprise exporters who are unable to access Customs ports due to distance or lack of information. The Help-Desks, located at specified offices, will operate for two weeks until August 1, 2018, staffed by Customs officers. These officers will assist exporters by providing necessary guidance, collecting required documents, and facilitating communication with the port of export, eliminating the need for exporters to visit the ports directly.
