of <h1>Deadline Extended for Constituent Entities to Submit Reports u/s 286(4) of Income-tax Act to March 31, 2019.</h1> The Central Board of Direct Taxes has extended the deadline for constituent entities to furnish reports under section 286(4) of the Income-tax Act, 1961. Initially, the report was due twelve months after the end of the reporting year, but if the parent entity is in a jurisdiction with systemic failure, the deadline is six months from notification of such failure. Due to stakeholder concerns and to alleviate difficulties, the deadline for reporting years ending up to February 28, 2018, has been extended to March 31, 2019, as a one-time measure.
