of <h1>New Measurement Standards for Petroleum Products: Adopt ASTM Tables 53B and 54B, Replacing Old Tables 53 and 54.</h1> The circular addresses the update in measurement standards for mineral oil (petroleum products) by volume, mandating the use of new ASTM Tables 53B and 54B instead of the previous Tables 53 and 54. This change follows a statutory order from the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, which requires oil companies to adopt these new tables. The Board has examined the matter and decided to modify the relevant instructions in the Manual of Departmental Instructions on Petroleum products accordingly. Stakeholders are requested to report any difficulties and acknowledge receipt of the circular. A Hindi version will be provided.
