of <h1>SEBI Updates FII Reporting Rules for ODIs and PNs; New Format Starts October 2011, Full Reports March 2012.</h1> The circular issued by the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) addresses the reporting requirements for Offshore Derivative Instruments (ODIs) and Participatory Notes (PNs) for Foreign Institutional Investors (FIIs). It provides clarifications on reporting formats, including the treatment of hedged and unhedged portions of ODIs, the representation of notional values, and the linkage of hedges. The implementation of the new reporting format is postponed, with the first monthly summary report due in October 2011 and detailed transaction reports to follow in March 2012. FIIs are instructed to continue using the existing format until the new one is adopted.
