of <h1>Indian Customs: Register on ICEGATE for SWIFT and e-SANCHIT to Streamline Import/Export with Digital Documents.</h1> The advisory circular from the Indian Customs Department outlines the registration of beneficiaries on ICEGATE, emphasizing the implementation of the Single Window Interface for Facilitating Trade (SWIFT) to streamline import and export processes. The e-SANCHIT system allows electronic submission of documents with digital signatures, eliminating the need for physical copies. Importers must upload regulatory compliance documents electronically from April 1, 2018. A pilot project is underway to extend this facility to exports. Participating Government Agencies (PGAs) will upload Licences, Permits, Certificates, and other Authorisations (LPCOs) directly, generating a unique Image Reference Number (IRN) for beneficiaries. Importers, exporters, and brokers are urged to register on ICEGATE.
