This initiative, following the Finance Minister's budget speech, aims to streamline the registration process through online applications for registration, surrender, and other requests. The portal will be operational for depository participants from May 31, 2017. While applications will be processed online, physical documents must still be submitted for record-keeping. Stock exchanges and depositories are instructed to update their systems accordingly.
