of <h1>SEBI Extends Trading Hours for Securities Lending and Borrowing Segment to 9 AM - 5 PM for Equity Derivatives Settlement.</h1> The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) has extended the trading hours for the Securities Lending and Borrowing (SLB) segment to facilitate the physical settlement of equity derivatives contracts. Stock Exchanges are now permitted to set trading hours between 9 AM and 5 PM, provided they have adequate risk management systems and infrastructure. This modification updates the previous time window stipulated in an earlier circular from October 31, 2008. The circular is issued under the authority of the SEBI Act, 1992, to protect investor interests and promote market development and regulation.
