of <h1>E-SANCHIT Voluntary Adoption Extended Nationwide; Mandatory Use Begins March 8, 2018, for All EDI Locations.</h1> The e-SANCHIT application, initially piloted in select locations, is being extended to all EDI locations on a voluntary basis. Stakeholders, including Customs Brokers and self-filers, are encouraged to adopt the system to prepare for its mandatory implementation. From March 8, 2018, those not using e-SANCHIT will be restricted from filing documents on ICEGATE. A step-by-step guide and FAQs are available on the ICEGATE website. Stakeholders are advised to report any difficulties to the office of the Principal Commissioner of Customs.
