of <h1>Customs Office Announces Duty Drawback Amendments: Higher Rates for Marine Products, Lower for Chemicals, Effective January 25, 2018.</h1> Amendments to the All Industry Rates of Duty Drawback, effective January 25, 2018, have been announced by the Customs Office in Ahmedabad. Key changes include increased drawback rates for specific marine products, rubber articles, leather items, wool yarn/fabric, glass handicrafts, bicycles, and fishing/sports nets. Conversely, rates for certain chemicals have been reduced. Additionally, Polypropylene Mats have been reclassified under a different tariff item in alignment with the Customs Tariff Act, 1975. Stakeholders are encouraged to report any issues to the Principal Commissioner of Customs in Ahmedabad.
