DGFT Amends FTP 2015-20: Updates on SCOMET Export Rules & International Agreements in Paragraphs 2.74 and 2.79A.

The Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) has amended Paragraphs 2.74 and 2.79A of the Handbook of Procedures for the Foreign Trade Policy (FTP) 2015-20. Paragraph 2.74 now includes provisions related to international agreements and control lists, such as those from the Nuclear Suppliers Group and Wassenaar Arrangement. Paragraph 2.79A has been revised to disallow applications for export authorizations of SCOMET items for 'stock and sale' for Categories 0 and 6. Additionally, the amendment permits the export of Category 1C chemicals under the 'stock and sale' policy, previously restricted.
